Step 7: Prepare the First Layer

Pour the cooled coffee into a shallow bowl.

Take each ladyfinger and:

1. Dip quickly into the coffee for about 1 second per side.
2. Do not soak them.

Arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers across the bottom of your serving dish.
